Woodlake offers transportation to students living outside of walking distance to the school (beyond one mile). Please see attached bus route and schedule or visit the transportation webpage at https://www.trusd.net/StudentsFamilies/Parent-Resources/Transportation-Services/index.html
Woodlake will provide a backpack and school supplies to each student on the first day of school. All students will receive a district laptop to use for coursework. Returning students kept their laptops over the summer and new students will get one issued to them within the first week of school.
Woodlake Elementary offers after school enrichment program daily until 6 PM. If you are interested in your student attending the ASES program, please sign up on the Woodlake.trusd.net website under the families/extended learning tabs.
Back to School Night is scheduled for August 24, 2023 at 5:00 PM -6:30 PM. At Back to School Night you will learn more about your children’s classrooms, our curriculum, homework policies and important ways to help make this school year a success for your family.
We ask that you guide and support your child’s learning by ensuring that your student:
- Attends school daily and arrives on time.
- Completes all homework assignments.
- Reads daily to develop a love for reading and to improve literacy skills.
- Shares school experiences with you so that you are aware of their school life.
We have several family events planned for the school year. Please consider serving on our School Site Council (SSC), English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC), joining the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) and/or attending our monthly Coffee and Conversation Get Together with the Principal.
If you have questions, please feel free to call the school at (916) 566-2755.
You can also visit our school website woodlake.trusd.net for more information.
